  • Where is the class?
    Panificio Maio Salvatore. Via Villanova, 56, 80123 Napoli NA. To access: From the main street Via Manzoni, in the residential area of Posillipo, just after Bar Pace, turn into the small alley Via Maria Montessori. The bakery will be on your left. Walk in and ask for Luciana or Amby. To access by taxi: Tell the taxi driver "Can you please take me to Bar Pace at Via Manzoni 149/F in Posillipo?" "Potete portarmi al Bar Pace in Via Manzoni 149/F a Posillipo?." The driver will drop you off at Bar Pace. Follow the access instructions above. To access by public transportation: By walking , metro, or bus, get to the Mergellina funicular. Take the funicular up the hill to the last stop, Via Manzoni. Turn left, and walk ten minutes down Via Manzoni until you reach Bar Pace. Follow the access instructions above. It's pretty easy, but in case you get lost, walk into Bar Pace and ask someone for directions to the forno. "Potrei per favore avere indicazioni per il forno?
  • When is the class?
    We host classes from 5-7pm every Monday and Wednesday.
  • What is included in the class?
    The class includes an Italian baking lesson, a tour of the panificio, one glass of wine/ person, and fresh baked treats.
  • How much does the class cost?
    The group class cost starts at 49 euro/ person. If you would like to reserve the space for a private class just for your group, you can reserve the place starting at 294 euro flat rate. We accept cash payments. This is a very historic bakery, and we do not have a credit card reader. Bank transfers are also possible. However, we recommend cash for ease of transaction.
  • What should I wear?
    Please tie your hair back and wear closed toed shoes. We provide aprons, but we recommend casual clothing that you will not mind if it gets a little dirty.
  • What language is the class in?
    The class is held in both English and Italian.
  • How many people are in the class?
    We have 2-6 guests per class.
  • Can you accommodate dietary restrictions?
    Not at this moment. We teach classic Italian baking, and the recipes include eggs, flour, lard, sugar, etc. and is made on equipment that comes into contact with nuts, eggs, gluten, and dairy. If you have strict allergies, this may not be the class for you.
  • Can I reserve the space for a celebration?
    Yes, you can. We are happy to customize the class to make it special for your event. We can host romantic dates, bachelorette parties, birthday parties, networking, retreats, etc. Please fill out the reservation form above, and we will do our best to accommodate special requests.
  • How do I reserve a class?

  • Do I need to be good at baking to take this class?
    Our class is welcome to all levels. Whether you've never baked before, or are a professional chef, you're going to have a great time.
  • Are pets allowed?
    No, sorry.
